Weight cut is a huge factor in mixed martial arts. Many fighters cut weight easily before their fights, while some face health issues making the scale. Hence, the weight cut process cost the fighters their wealth and health at times. Therefore, in 2017, the UFC color commentator Joe Rogan called this process the ‘biggest problem in MMA.’

The 54-year-old Rogan is one of the most prominent names in the fight industry. Moreover, he has been a part of one of the biggest MMA promotions in the world for a long time. Hence, Rogan has closely watched the sport grow.

That being said, the UFC color commentator might as well have seen the horrid side of the sport, especially linking to fighters’ weight cut process. So, in 2017 Rogan tweeted about the same.

However, on the other side of the story, the UFC commentator lauds non-fighters for their extreme body weight transformation. In one episode of his podcast, Rogan lauded the famous British actor Christian Bale’s stunning body transformations for his roles.

Rogan said, “He did the most horrific weight cut. I have never seen anybody that skinny in a movie. I mean, he was like legitimately days before death.”

“And then he was Batman, like six months later, and he got this crazy… If you see the movie, he was eating an apple and a can of tuna a day, that’s it. And what happens then is your body starts eating itself.”

Apparently, it was the UFC bantamweight champion Sterling who told Rogan that he was getting distracted from his training because of the recent media attention he was getting. That is when Rogan shared Tyson Fury‘s tactic and advised him to use the same.
