The UFC commentator, being aware of the volatile nature of the subject, approached it with caution and put forth a question on whether a franchise as big as Harry Potter can suffer due to the millionaire author’s stance.

During episode #1978 of JRE, Joe Rogan sat down with his fellow comedian Ms. Pat and led a discussion that navigated itself to the highly sensitive topic of transgenders. Eventually, they delved into J.K. Rowling’s controversial comments on the subject. The conversation that started from Disneyland shifted to Harry Potter theme rides, which prompted Rogan to wonder how Rowling’s stance on trans women might affect her best work.

The 55-year-old said, “I wonder like, what’s it like at the Harry Potter world now. Because everybody J. K. Rowling because of her stance on trans women.”
