Many fighters, including Stephen Thompson, tried to break the record. He scored 93,970 franklins. However, his brother, Tony Thompson broke his record by smashing 172,923 franklins. Moreover, it seems like there is another fighter who could win the title of the hardest kicker in the world. The fighter is Lorenz Larkin (MMA record of 25 wins and 7 losses) who fought under the UFC banner from 2013 to 2016, following which he signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA.

‘The Monsoon’ was recently seen in a video posted on social media attempting the PowerKube challenge. ‘Wonderboy’ was seen training with Larkin at UFC PI. The former UFC fighter’s statistic stood at 235,875 franklins. That kick left Stephen Thompson in awe.

  • Angle of attack is wrong
  • It seems to me that it’s a lot about the angle of the kick and how you keep Joe Rogan kick look a lot stronger than that I don’t trust the machine
  • Pretty sure Joe Rogan would break the machine…
  • Duhhhh but Francis Ngannous punch is like duhhh equivalent to being hit by a tank which has been fired out of a larger tank duhhh
  • That didnt look nearly as powerful as joes
  • That boy Larkin is a beast People be sleep can’t wait to see him go again
  • Brooo I saw that in person did dudes got power hahah let sgoooo
  • That’s the kick that damn near broke my calf

Many people claimed that the angle of Larkin’s kick is different from the one Joe Rogan tried. They still believe that the 55-year-old UFC commentator has a stronger kick than ‘The Monsoon’. Moreover, some fans claim that Francis Ngannou has more power in his fist than Larkin’s kick. However, there were a few fans who claimed the 36-year-old was a beast. Even ‘Wonderboy’ and Larkin’s former opponent, Neil Magny, approved of the fighter’s power in his legs. UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping and veteran Tony Ferguson also liked the post on Instagram.

Larkin used to be a boxer before his venture into MMA. He has trained in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. ‘The Monsoon’ also adapted to learn Kung Fu. He has undoubtedly developed a great kicking game, even though he began training his fists first. However, machines can be wrong sometimes, so it becomes hard to believe if the readings are accurate. But the 36-year-old broke all the records set by the previous fighters.
