Hunter Campbell will have to wait, as Dana White doesn’t seem ready to step down as UFC CEO anytime soon. Despite rumors of his retirement, White has no plans to hand over his duties to anyone else. Speculation about his departure grew as Hunter Campbell rose to prominence, but the reality is that White may never relinquish his position—something that even UFC color commentator Joe Rogan finds concerning.

While having a conversation with Tucker Carlson on his podcast, the UFC CEO emphasized that many within the community believed that he would retire from the sport after they sold UFC to Endeavor for billions, “When we sold in 2016, 99 percent of the people said that I was going to retire and walk away. I’m not wired like that.”

When Tucker Carlson asked the UFC CEO if “once the fight is gone, life is gone?” Dana White responded with a rather massive confession, “I will never retire. Ever,” White said. “I will keep dogging this out until the day I drop dead. I love it, 100 percent. Hopefully [I’ll be 80 years old ringside]”  Well, the UFC CEO seems to be in the mood to become the Bob Arum of the UFC.

Interestingly, this confession also concerns Joe Rogan, who has stated that he will retire as soon as Dana White steps away from the UFC. During a conversation on The Joe Rogan Experience, the longtime color commentator revealed that he and White are a package deal, and he has no plans to continue once White departs. “If Dana leaves, I’m gone,” said Joe Rogan.

The UFC color commentator has been one of the longest-tenured employees in the UFC. His first event came all the way back in 1997 and since then he has stood with Dana White through thick and thin. Well, the UFC CEO’s confession did rattle the MMA community who has their own statements for him.

Dana White leaves fans in dilemma with no retirement confession

Joe Rogan, Jon Anik, Bruce Buffer, and Dana White are the voices of the promotion, and any retirement among them would be a loss for MMA fans. However, one thing is certain—Joe Rogan and Dana White aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The same, however, cannot be said for the others, “Nice, now I need to hear Rogan, Anik, and Buffer say the same thing!”

Bob Arum, at 94, still leads Top Rank Boxing Promotion. According to fans, the UFC CEO might follow a similar path in the future, “He’s gonna be like Bob Arum. 90 and can barley stand by himself in the ring after a fight.”

In his recent statement, WWE head honcho Vince McMahon said the exact same thing when asked about his retirement. “No, I don’t see myself ever retiring,” Vince McMahon said, “I never understood why people stop growing, When you stop growing, you die. Some people are like ‘I want to retire one day. ‘ What are you going to do when you retire?” A fan referenced McMahon and commented“Vince McMahon said the same” However, it must be noted that back in 2022, McMahon came forward to announce his retirement and handed over the responsibilities to his daughter Stephanie McMahon.

According to a social media user, Hunter Campbell would be disappointed, “Hunter must be upset lol.” Furthermore, a social media user appreciated Dana White in a rather sarcastic manner, “Dana can be complete dumba– at times but the UFC wouldn’t be the same without him.” Last but not least, another social media user invoked the spirits of Bob Arum for Dana White, “Bob Arum of MMA.”
