UFC commentator Jon Anik made an appearance in Michael Bisping’s ‘Believe You Me’ podcast along with Anthony Smith. Anik revealed the scariest UFC knockout he’s ever witnessed.

Some other notable knockouts include Conor McGregor landing a left hand on Jose Aldo’s chin. That match cemented the status of ‘Mystic Mac’ as the face of UFC and MMA as a whole. However, Jon Anik has mentioned the scariest knockout that he has witnessed comes from a heavyweight bout.

Michael Bisping asked Jon Anik if he had a few favorite knockouts in UFC. But the UFC commentator stated that Francis Ngannou knocking out Alistair Overeem was the scariest knockout he has ever seen.
He said, “Francis Ngannou knocked out Alistair Overeem, I thought Overeem was deceased. I didn’t think he was going to come back from that.” He added, “I mean, it looked like his neck broke.” Anik also claims that Ngannou didn’t even use his full power, but it looked like Alistair Overeem had snapped his neck.

Jon Anik also claimed that Francis Ngannou is a one-of-a-kind fighter like all great athletes. He said, “I’ve been around a lot of professional athletes, football players. there is a uniqueness to this Francis Ngannou package.” He also joked about Francis Ngannou’s hand touching his elbow whenever they shook hands with each other.

Francis ‘Predator’ Ngannou was able to finish off the veteran Alistair Overeem in just the second minute of the first round. It took the fans and the commentators by surprise. Ngannou’s knockout also received the honor of 2017 knockout of the year.

Francis Ngannou is currently ranked 5th in UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings. He is known mostly for his exceptional striking.
