The UFC welterweight looked in awe at the new gloves ahead of UFC 287. Burns was seen before the event as he shares his view on an apparent “novel concept” from the UFC. The fans have also voiced their opinion on the new concept that the UFC introduced.

The Brazilian fighter gave his take on the gloves too and mentioned some of his advantages.

Burns said, “I love it…It kinda make your fingers go down. So less eye poke.” ‘Durinho’ pointed out the best feature of the gloves that he liked. He added, “I like it. See, my hands are relaxing. Tt goes here, it doesn’t stay stays here. Way better for no eye poke. I like these.”

Gilbert Burns is ready with all guns blazing to face Jorge Masvidal at UFC 287 in Miami. Masvidal also looks to capitalize on the opportunity and defeat the Brazilian, as he looks certain to get a title shot if he wins. The clash is therefore one of the most anticipated bouts in the welterweight division.

Fans react to Burns sharing his opinion on the new gloves from the UFC

The UFC and MMA fans reacted to seeing the new gloves from the UFC. They added to the point that Burns made about eye pokes in the comment section. The Mac Life account on Instagram shared the post as, “It looks like we have some new shaped UFC gloves to help stop eye pokes, as modelled b Gilbert Burns”.

One fan said, “Jon Jones about to retire”. Another fan added, “stop lying they the same ones”.

Similarly, a social media user added, “Genuinely don’t see this helping too much. Fighters hands are not relaxed when they’re engaged enough to poke someone”.
