Jon Jones is in Thailand at the moment, enjoying life, away from the din of fan criticism and the media’s questions about the Tom Aspinall fight. You may have seen his clips of enjoying himself in the Southeast-Asian country on a bike and feeding wild monkeys. But ‘Bones’ is not in Thailand on vacation. Oh no, he’s there to take care of business.

The UFC heavyweight champ is shooting the reality show ‘ALF Reality’, which is described as the Russian version of the UFC’s flagship show, ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. And helping him on the show is diminutive Dagestani social media star, Hasbulla. You may have seen the viral clip of the fan-favorite Russian putting ‘Bones’ in a rear-naked choke and biting his ear a la Mike Tyson.

But that isn’t all. It seems Hasbulla is chilling with Jones in Thailand, perhaps as part of the show. And according to ‘Bones’, the Dagestani social media star has not only been fighting the undefeated GOAT contender, the baddest man in the world– Jon Jones– everyday, but also hurting him!

“Oh man, me and Hasbulla have been having a great time,” Jones told ‘redcorner.mma’ in a recent interview. “We fight almost every single day. Right now Ive got a bloody lip, they may have kicked me in the mouth. But we have good times… He’s very strong, he’s very strong, and he knows how to fight. Yeah, we have fun.”

Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the dog in the fight, as they say. And there is no better example proving that old combat sport adage than the less-than-five-foot Hasbulla taking on the man considered the greatest man to grace the Octagon. You can see why Hasbulla became an overnight sensation in the MMA world and even got signed by the UFC– the man is just fearless, and doesn’t let his size limit him in any way. Which, as you can imagine, people love. And while Hasbulla and Jones are having a good time in Thailand, one UFC legend left the reality show in a huff over what turns out to be nothing.

Nate Diaz walks out of reality show starring Jon Jones after ‘brawl’ with Russian fight

Jon Jones is head coach of one of the two teams on this year’s ‘AFL Reality’. So, who is his opposing head coach? Well, it was supposed to be another MMA legend– fan favorite former UFC superstar– Nate Diaz. But due to a series of unfortunate events, the former BMF title contender walked off the show abruptly.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Nate Diaz overreact by leaving the show, or was he right to walk away?

Have an interesting take?

As you may have heard, Diaz got into what was termed as a ‘brawl’ on the show with one of the participants, which led to his exit. But if you actually look at the video, you can see that Zalik, the guy accused of starting the whole ‘brawl’, actually was not at fault. In the clip, you can see that the Russian fighter approaches Diaz and says jokingly to Diaz that that since the Stockton native was an “American gangster” and he was a Russian gangster, a fight between them would “be good”. Again, from his demeanor and body language you could clearly see he was not serious and just having a laugh.

The Russian then trows a playful punch at Diaz, which misses him by a mile. All of a sudden the rest of the Russian fighters jump in and ask Zalik to stop, which he does. But someone, perhaps from Diaz’s team, just punches the poor Russian fighter, who gets pretty upset. And that is what people are calling a ‘brawl’, which it quite clearly wasn’t. One also wonders whether Nate Diaz really needed to leave the show over it since clearly, he wasn’t in any danger at any point of time. If anything, Zalik is the victim here, and he is being unfairly maligned by people who claim he tried to hit Diaz or start a brawl. Even Jon Jones seems to agree with this assessment as he made clear in an interview after the incident.

“We had one of our young fighters, a guy named Zalik, he was playing with Nate. He wanted to play-fight with Nate. Nate kind of came in a little bit on edge. I think he had some previous beef with some Russian fighters, so he was a little bit on edge when he got here. Play-fighting with Nate was not the best idea. It became serious right away, and we had to replace Nate,” Jones said. What do you think about Jon Jones’ revelations about fighting Hasbulla and getting a bloody lip by him?
