Last month, after UFC boss Dana White’s favorite, Jon Jones, dominated Stipe Miocic in his first title defense, he put a counter-demand against White’s request for him to fight Tom Aspinall. ‘Bones’ said he was willing to accept the fight but with one condition: “If I give him the opportunity to fight me, I want to be so compensated—I want to say it, I want that ‘f–k you’ money, honestly.” This was enough to leave the head honcho feeling stressed, as he had done everything in his power to protect Jon Jones’ legacy.

Dana White’s nemesis, Jake Paul, shares the same view and has unexpectedly supported White’s deal with Jon Jones. However, with the added stipulation of course! Recently, Paul backed the reigning champion’s demands in a tweet, writing, “Did my math. Understand their hope to have Jon Jones lose so they can create the next man. So… Bones should be getting a $50M guarantee for that fight. And $10 for every PPV buy above 600K. If they offer that to Jon, it’s fair. He should take it.”

However, it’s not yet confirmed whether Jon Jones has been offered $50 million to fight Tom Aspinall. This rumor emerged from a report by renowned CBS News reporter Rueben Carter (@realruebenking) on X claiming, “BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Reports suggest that Jon Jones is asking for upwards of $30M dollars to fight Tom Aspinall.” Fans on social media, many of whom affirm their support for ‘Bones’s demand, have supported this claim. Among the latest supporters is MMA Guru, a social media figure, known for his outlandish views.

Last month, while speaking with Flyweight GOAT Demetrious Johnson, MMA Guru shockingly suggested the UFC should give Jon Jones $40 to $50 million for a fight against Aspinall, stating, “Even if it is $40/$50 million, drop it once on a fighter. Jones is the fighter to drop it on.” So far, the highest payout in UFC history is attributed to Conor McGregor, who earned around $20 million for his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

If the ongoing rumors about the reigning champion’s compensation are true, Jones could become the biggest draw in MMA history. This speculation gained even more traction when Tom Aspinall recently spoke about his conversation with Dana White regarding the matter.

Does Dana White accept Jon Jones’ “f–k you money” demand?

The one person Jon Jones’ inactivity has significantly affected whose career is none other than interim champion Tom Aspinall. The Englishman has been waiting for the unification of the title since last November’s UFC 295. However, with this year’s event already concluded last month, there still seems to be no sign of the UFC heavyweight title becoming undisputed, frustrating many fight fans who have been eagerly waiting for this moment. Though it may seem far off, it’s not impossible.

Recently, Tom Aspinall shared some insights during an appearance on ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ on YouTube, where he revealed details of his meeting with the head honcho after UFC 309. Aspinall stated, “I was literally waiting outside that room. I hadn’t seen any of this stuff he had said. So, in all honesty, I was expecting him to come and maybe negotiate a little bit. He walked into the room and said, ‘It’s happening.’ I said, ‘Well, he’s(Jon Jones) going to want loads of money.’ He said, ‘I know, but it’s happening.”

What do you expect Jon Jones to earn in terms of compensation? Do you think his fight with Tom Aspinall could surpass Conor McGregor’s earnings in total payouts? Will the predictions from Reuben Carter, Jake Paul, and MMA Guru align with the UFC’s approach? Share your thoughts below.
