Jon Jones has never been one to dream small, and his latest vision might be his most ambitious yet. On a recent appearance on the ‘No Scripts Podcast’, the former UFC heavyweight king doubled down on his desire to fight Alex Pereira on what is quickly becoming the most hyped and speculated upon fight card in UFC history: the White House event planned for 2026!

When asked about his intentions for the historic event, Jones didn’t hesitate as he responded by confirming, “Yeah, dude.” When further pressed by the host of the show on if he wants ‘Poatan’, Jones didn’t hesitate as he stated, “I’d like to fight Alex Pereira at the White House. I feel he’s incredibly respectful, I feel like he’s a household name in America, in MMA. Everybody knows who he is, he’ a champion. He’s in the conversation of being one of the greatest fighters of all time and I just think it would be a blockbuster event. I think the whole world would come out.”

Blockbuster might be an understatement as Jones confessed that he believes a fight of that magnitude wouldn’t just be about legacy, it would be about spectacle and scale. He continued, “I’ve beat many Brazilian’s over the course of my life, many, it’s the people that I’ve beat the most. And I feel like either way that fight goes, no one loses in that fight.”

As wild as Jones’ idea sounds, it now has the backing of someone with major influence in this conversation, President Donald Trump’s son Eric, who recently dropped a bombshell about the White House event.

He appeared on the ‘Full Send’ podcast and stated, “Jon Jones has to fight. I would love to see him. You know what? It’s funny. He put up a tweet the other day where he had like one spot left on his wall. He had all the titles and then he had one spot left and he took a picture of it. So, I feel like he has one left in him. And man, if there’s ever one that you’re going to do, it’s the White House.”

The historic card is expected to feature American icons and global stars alike, as Eric Trump even hinted that Conor McGregor could be part of the lineup, as the Irishman has recently been claiming that his long-awaited UFC return could come at the White House. He also mentioned rising star Bo Nickal, describing him as “a true American champ,” signaling a mix of patriotic flavor and international appeal for the event.

But, if this all sounds too good to be true, it’s because there’s a catch, Dana White doesn’t trust Jon Jones enough to book him on the card. Despite Jones’ star power and Trump’s backing, the UFC boss has been blunt about his reluctance, stating, “If I have to make odds, it’s a billion to one I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”  It’s not hard to see why.

The last time White tried to book Jon Jones, the negotiations collapsed around a potential fight with Tom Aspinall, and the episode left the UFC boss frustrated, as his public comments since have made his feelings clear. But as ‘Bones’ stated on the No Scripts podcast,It generates so many millions for the sport, and there is just no losing when you have such high-level people competing who respect each other. ” In fact, the former UFC heavyweight champion has already laid out a humble request for Dana White!

Jon Jones drops a heartfelt plea for White House card to Dana White as he receives Eric Trump’s backing

Appearing ringside at DBX 4 in Nashville, Jon Jones looked anything but retired. Dressed in classic ‘Bones’ fashion, complete with a horse and an eye patch, a playful jab at Tom Aspinall, the legend was in full promotional mode. But his focus wasn’t Aspinall anymore; it was the White House card and one name, Alex Pereira.

Speaking to The Schmo, the former champion pleaded, “I really hope it happens, Dana, bro. Please, bro. Please. I’m training, I’m feeling great, I’m healthy, and I’d be so honored to represent our country and do what I do best.”

It’s hard not to admire the persistence, but White’s hesitation is rooted in history. Over the years, Jon Jones has caused more than a few UFC headaches with canceled main events, stripped titles, and last-minute chaos that forced entire cards to relocate. Even with $30 million reportedly on the table for a Tom Aspinall fight, Jones instead walked away.

With Eric Trump backing his name for the White House card and Alex Pereira waiting in the wings, ‘Bones” is once again standing at the crossroads between redemption and risk. Can he convince Dana White, a man who’s made no secret of his distrust, to take that billion-to-one gamble? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
