Jon Jones has been making headlines, but recently he drew attention for the wrong reason. The UFC heavyweight champion allegedly gave death threats to a person working for a drug testing agency amid his shoulder injury recovery process. Threatening the drug tester did not end well as it drew the attention of law enforcement officials.

Jon Jones may have proven his status as the greatest UFC fighter ever. However, his troubles outside the Octagon do not seem to go away. ‘Bones’ has already had legal problems in the states of New York and Nevada, but now he found himself in another controversial incident that took place in New Mexico.

According to sources, a drug tester from Drug Free Sport International revealed that he found Jon Jones in an intoxicated state and sent death threats his way a few days ago. Moreover, ‘Bones’ even snatched the cell phone from him during that altercation. The incident took place in Albuquerque in March and the tester did not waste much time in informing the local police department.

The drug tester met up with officials from the Albuquerque Police Department to explain what went down with Jon Jones, and they  launched an investigation into the heavyweight champion’s actions on that day. While Jones went too far with the death threats this time around, did you know that the heavyweight champion once heckled a stand-up comedian?
