‘The Last Stylebender’ successfully defended his middleweight gold in the main event of UFC 276 against an excellent striker, Jared Cannonier. After that, Izzy called out his old rival and rising middleweight Alex Pereira.

Using a ‘Frozen’ movie reference in his octagon interview, Izzy said, “Next time I put you on stakes, you gonna get frozen like Elsa. I will leave it at that.”

Following that, the former light heavyweight champion took a nasty jibe at Israel Adesanya for his call-out style. ‘Bones’ took to his official Twitter account and wrote, “What the f**k, this motherf**ker just make a frozen reference with those glossy fingernails lol.”

‘Bones’ later deleted the tweet, but a user took a screenshot of Jones’ words and posted it.

Previously, the Nigerian-born champion also took a cheeky dig at Jones in one of his media appearances before UFC 276. Despite all the banter and attempts to humiliate the other, they have never been booked to fight.

Israel Adesanya vs. Jon Jones is far from happening

Jon Jones used to fight at 205, before vacating the title for a heavyweight move. He is currently out of action as he is waiting for his heavyweight debut, which might happen soon.

Meanwhile, Adesanya rules 185 and has made just one appearance at 205. From his UFC 276 post-fight callout, it is clear that he intends to remain at middleweight and fight Pereira next.

Even if the Nigerian-born Kiwi decides to move up, it will be to the light heavyweight division and not heavyweight. Given all these factors, Adesanya vs. Jones seems like a fan fantasy fight that will never see the light of the UFC octagon.
