It seems that ‘The Predator’ will not be returning to the UFC any time soon. A title shot against ‘Jonny Bones’ is also ruled out by the new heavyweight king.
Jones had also criticized the former heavyweight champion over not signing the contract. ‘Bones’ said in an interview, “If anyone should be criticized, it’s Francis Ngannou… He was offered the biggest contract in heavyweight history. He had the opportunity to be the guy to dethrone me. And he didn’t believe in himself. Francis didn’t believe in himself. He wasn’t willing to gamble on himself.”

The UFC commentator spoke on one of his podcasts about the topic of the UFC heavyweight championship. The podcast was released before UFC 285 and Rogan wanted the winner of Jones and Gane to face ‘The Predator’ inside the octagon.
The podcast host added, “In heavyweight, for me, Ngannou versus the winner of Jones and Ciryl Gane. That’s the biggest fight you can make. And that’s what I really hope. I hope Francis goes and gets some big-money boxing match. And God forbid, if he wins, will probably never see him.”
