Ever since Jon Jones announced his desire to move up to the heavyweight division, there has been much speculation about who ‘Bones’ would fight. At one point it was announced that Jones would face the winner of the fight between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou. However after Ngannou won the fight, talks between the UFC and Jones broke down over pay issues.
Nevertheless, fans from all over the world are still expecting this fight to happen. People have been talking about the potential super fight and have been sharing their views on the same.
Recently UFC legend Anderson Silva also commented on the potential fight. He said, “Wow, it’s tough for me talking about Jon Jones because he’s my friend and I think you’ve seen me put in Jon Jones’ back fight. Because you know he’s a huge talent and the only one big guy who has a big name in UFC right now.”

Jon Jones, who is one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time, has proven his skill repeatedly. As Silva himself believes this, he backed ‘Bones’ to beat Ngannou, saying, “Of course. Well, in my opinion, Jon Jones has more skills and more weapons to win this fight.”
Will changing divisions be a challenge for Jon Jones?
Silva, who is an MMA legend, holds the record for the longest title reign in UFC middleweight history. However, even he changed divisions in his MMA career. Hence, he was asked for his take on the same.

Silva said, “I mean, I think it’s challenging when you change, it’s a challenge in your mind, in your body, and a challenge for your team. That’s why I change and I go to fight in a different category.”
