Jon Jones has given us plenty of wild moments over the years, but his latest Instagram live session? That one’s going straight to the highlight reel. In what can only be described as a slurred, incoherent rant, Jones hopped on live and dropped this gem.
“I get pissed off, disappointed. Another day, I just wanna kill.” Wait, what? Who? Why? Was he talking about Tom Aspinall or his old rival Daniel Cormier? Nobody really knows, because before anyone could even process what he was saying, the livestream ended. But don’t worry, Jones wasn’t done. He took his talents to X for yet another round of “tweet and delete.” Sound familiar? It should.
In 2023, he went on a spree about the world being against him while reminding everyone he was still undefeated. Then in 2024, he was in Las Vegas, probably gambling, and, well relentlessly posting. Since impulsive social media outbursts seem to be part of his routine, here we are again.

His first tweet? A cryptic apology, “Sorry, was just getting crazy. I’m done over it.” Then came the self-aware follow-up, “Good luck tweet and delete, it’s been a while.” But just when you thought it was another classic Jon Jones meltdown, you’d be right. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to witness it.

The only thing you’ll find from the past 24 hours is a post that has nothing to do with fights, title defenses, or his usual “I’m the GOAT” flex. Instead, a few days earlier, he had gone on a full-blown rant about….. healthcare prices?
“Hospitals and insurance companies across America continue to hide their prices from all of us, which allows them to overcharge, overbill, and price gouge patients, workers, employers, unions, and taxpayers without any accountability.” Alright, so let’s get this straight, one minute, he’s sounding like a villain in a gritty crime drama. The next, he’s taking a stand against the American healthcare system? Good thing X has a delete button huh? Keeps Jon’s highlight reel of mood swings nice and tidy.
Confused? You’re not alone. At this point, we all know our heavyweight champ loves a good mystery. Leading up to his big announcement, fans were buzzing. Was he finally booking a fight with Tom Aspinall? Maybe Alex Pereira? Would he finally admit he’s been ducking heavyweight killers? The suspense was real.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Jon Jones' healthcare activism genuine, or just another chapter in his unpredictable saga?

Is Jon Jones’ path forward what the MMA world expected?
Jones pulled a fast one. No fight news. No opponent. Instead, he announced a partnership with Power to the Patients, a non-profit fighting for price transparency in healthcare. Not exactly the showdown fight fans were expecting.”While this may not be a traditional fight for me, it’s obvious that too many Americans are being hurt and forced into medical debt or bankruptcy,” the New York native declared.
Ah yes, the same man who once ran from USADA testers is now fighting against corporate corruption. You can’t make this stuff up. Look, is it a noble cause? Sure. But given his history of erratic social media rants, deleted tweets, and questionable decision-making, it’s hard to tell if this is a genuine passion or just Jon being Jon. The healthcare system better hope he doesn’t lose interest and move on to his next outburst.
And speaking of moving on, what’s next for Jones in the Octagon? That’s the million-dollar (or, in his case, multi-million-dollar) question. UFC CEO Dana White has repeatedly said that Jones will defend his heavyweight title against Tom Aspinall in 2025. But if you ask Chael Sonnen, that’s going to be the last time we see Bones in the cage.“If you wanted my boldest prediction of 2025, I’m actually very confident in the prediction,” Sonnen said on Good Guy/Bad Guy.

“Jon Jones is going to fight Tom Aspinall… but win or lose, I do believe it will be Jon’s final appearance.” And honestly? It makes sense. Bones himself admitted that money is the biggest motivator at this stage in his career. He’s already teasing retirement, talking about making one last “f*** you money” payday, and now dabbling in healthcare activism? It’s starting to feel like we’re in the epilogue of his UFC career.
So, let’s recap? Jones went from attacking the healthcare system to live-steaming nonsense and deleting it, all while possibly setting up his exit strategy from MMA. Classic. The only real question left is, what’s next? A political run? A podcast on the corruption of big pharma? Maybe he challenges Elon Musk to a fight? Whatever it is, Jon Jones will keep us entertained. Whether that’s inside the Octagon or on Twitter at 3 AM? Are we all in agreement on that? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
