The new Polish sensation, Jan Blachowicz, is the current UFC light heavyweight champion. He became the second Polish fighter to win the gold in the UFC. Blachowicz defeated Dominick Reyes by a knockout in round 2 at UFC 253 and captured the vacant title. Jon Jones was the guy responsible for vacating the title as he wanted to move up a weight class.
Now, ‘Bones’ is setting his goals to become the heavyweight champion for the first time in his life, and the questions of seeing the two dominant fighters of two of the heaviest UFC divisions are emerging.
In an interview with Just Scrap Radio, Jan Blachowicz was asked about a potential fight against Jon Jones.

He replied, “I don’t want to talk about Jon Jones because it’s boring for me right now, but anyway he promised me this fight after when I knocked out Corey Anderson so I will just wait for him. So you know and I believe in future somewhere somehow we gonna make this fight.”

It’s clear that Blachowicz thinks Jones owes him a fight. ‘Bones’ showed his interest when ‘The Polish Power’ defeated Corey Anderson by a vicious Knockout in round 2. This happened right after the Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes fight. Subsequently, ‘Bones’ changed his mind and wanted a move to heavyweight as he claimed that he needed fresh challenges.

Jan Blachowicz thinks fighting Jon Jones is similar to fighting Israel Adesanya
Jan Blachowicz claimed his fight against Jon ‘Bones’ Jones would be somewhat similar to the Adesanya fight. “If UFC send me contract and I will fight against ‘Bones’ then we find the way with my coaches and my team how to beat him. You know for sure I will try to knock him out because I like fighting stand up but anyway I think that will be a little bit similar fight like with Israel,” Blachowicz said.

Both Israel Adesanya and Jones are among the best UFC has ever seen. It is a fact that the current light heavyweight king has defeated one of them, and he would love to get his hands on Jones.
Beating Jon Jones is the biggest possible thing a light heavyweight could ever do, as no one has been able to pull this off in a clean fight (Jones’ only official defeat came via disqualification). Will Blachowicz defeat Jon Jones if they ever meet? Or will it just be another night in the office for Jones?
