A UFC fan on Twitter tweeted “How quickly people forgot. Like Chimaev said, no one else can be #1 if bones is still fighting”.

Jones replied to the fan’s tweet saying, “Very kind of him to say that, excited to prove his words true”

It is clear that ‘Bones’ [26-1-0 (1 NC)] is eagerly anticipating his return to assert his supremacy. He has fought elite fighters of all generations in UFC and has yet to be defeated decisively.

UFC president Dana White even predicted a meteoric rise for Chimaev in the UFC.

Khamzat Chimaev is expected to be the next rising star of the UFC

‘Borz ‘vs ‘Durinho’ was a bloodshed brawl lasting for three tough rounds. The last round saw a heavy exchange of killer blows between the two.

However, the fight resulted in a unanimous victory for Chimaev while Gilbert Burns received a win bonus for his performance.

In the UFC 273 post-fight press conference, Dana White compared the rise of Chimaev to Conor McGregor & Ronda Rousey.

Colby Covington the former interim welterweight champion, is proposed to be the next potential opponent for ‘Borz’. Chimaev, though, had earlier called out the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
‘Borz ‘unleashed his eagerness to create history in the UFC by becoming the first three-weight world champion. In reference to that, he challenged the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
