Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou share a moment of respect

The PFL vs. Bellator mega matchup in Saudi Arabia witnessed intense battles among the fighters. Amidst the surprise meetup between Jones and Ngannou, Jones in a statement at that event stated that the MMA community was willing to witness a matchup between them and that he would defeat every opponent in his way.

As the camera moved towards Ngannou, ‘The Predator’ had only one thing to say to Jones “In your dreams. You’re f*cking fat.” With a sly smile on his face, Ngannou ripped apart Jones, however, there has been no comment by the UFC’s heavyweight champ for Ngannou. Amid their back and forth, Jones seems to have won the respect of Ngannou.

In the event when Jones was asked about his comments on Ngannou’s next boxing match against Anthony Joshua, he said that he wanted Ngannou to win but stated that defeating Joshua would be hard.

“I’m rooting for Francis to win only because of his story and how far he’s come in life [and] him being a fellow mixed martial artist. I mean, how could you not root for Francis? Francis is a wonderful stand-up person, so I’m rooting for Francis but Anthony Joshua has been doing this since he was a young boy,” Jones said while commentating.
