After taking a brief hiatus from Twitter, Jon Jones is back and how. The UFC undisputed heavyweight champion took shots at former champion Stipe Miocic for his recent comments. Furthermore, Jones addressed rumors about his next bout’s venue and even hinted that Miocic might be his retirement fight.

Recently, UFC president Dana White stated that Jon Jones had vanished after the title win at UFC 285. He also added that Jones said he would be back once the Miocic fight was finalized.

However, Miocic had a different take on the issue. Jones had claimed previously that the delay in booking the fight was because of Miocic. The 40-year-old tweeted in response to White’s statements and took a shot at Jones for seemingly lying about the situation.

Now, Jones is back and returned fire at Stipe Miocic while also engaging with some fans on Twitter.

In a response to Miocic’s tweet about him, Jon Jones wrote, “I lay low for a few weeks and then you convince yourself that I’m afraid of you. Ha whatever you need to tell yourself old timer.”

Several fans responded to Jones’ incendiary comments against Miocic. One of them asked about Madison Square Garden being the venture for his fight against Miocic. Jones declined the comment rather cheekily, writing, Not saying.”

Later, Jones dropped a massive hint that Miocic could be his retirement fight. The Albuquerque native was imagining the dream scenario of retiring with a win over the consensus GOAT heavyweight of the UFC.

He wrote, “How cool would it be to spend my retirement fight dominating the greatest heavyweight of all time, in my home state at Madison Square Garden?”

As Jones was back and busy on Twitter, Dana White was addressing the media after UFC Kansas City. The UFC head honcho addressed Jones’ comments and gave out some details on the fight.

During the post-fight press conference, Dana White revealed that there was no drama in booking Jones vs. Miocic. The 53-year-old gave a calm and collected response about the current situation.

Furthermore, White confirmed what Jones did not, and revealed that they were looking to book the fight at Madison Square Garden.

Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic mutually expressed their interest to fight each other after UFC 285. However, the fight is unlikely to happen during international fight week as was initially expected.

With White mentioning MSG, the UFC could deliver another stacked card centered around the heavyweight title fight later this year.
