Ahead of the UFC 273, the former light heavyweight champion ‘Bones’ took to Twitter to show his support for Chan Sung Jung for his fight. The South Korean took on Alexander Volkanovski in the main event for the featherweight gold.

However, ‘The Great’ defeated ‘The Korean Zombie’ via a knockout in the fourth round of the fight. Although ‘The Korean Zombie‘ lost the fight, Jones showered some good words for him on Twitter. Amidst that, a user taunted Jones that Volkanovski might take Jones’ place on the GOAT’s list.

This didn’t sit well with the former lightweight champion. He hit back at the user whilst taking a dig at Volkanovski. ‘Bones’ asked about Volkanovski’s title defense in the UFC. He wrote, “How many defenses does he have?”

Although ‘The Great’ is one of the best featherweights in the promotion, he isn’t close to Jones’ 11 title defense record. Volkanovski has a lot more to achieve in his UFC career. Hence, it won’t be fair to compare him with Jones yet.
