UFC London Adds Another Cracking Bantamweight Encounter

The UFC is planning to schedule a bantamweight showdown between Nathaniel Wood and Jonathan Martinez. As per a news leak that came from bjpenn.com, both the fighters have signed their contracts. Despite this reported development, the UFC has yet to confirm the news. The promotion is trying to target this fight for the September 4 event in London.

Jonathan Martinez is an American fighter with a record of thirteen wins and four losses. He joined the UFC in 2018, making his debut against Andre Soukhamthath and losing by unanimous decision. On the back of a 3-4 UFC record, Martinez will look to get on a consistent run by getting a victory over Wood.

Nathaniel Wood is a British mixed martial artist. Just like Martinez, he entered the UFC roster in 2018. ‘The Prospect’ came from Cage Warriors, where he won and successfully defended his bantamweight title two times. Wood (17-5) is an exciting fighter with fourteen finishes (9 T/KO, 5 submissions) to his name.

The Prospect’ made a promising debut in UFC by getting a submission win over Johnny Eduardo. He started off on a high note with three back-to-back submission wins in his first three bouts. Unfortunately, he has just one win in his last three bouts.
