The fight will take place in his hometown Miami, marking the UFC’s return to the city after almost two decades. As he prepares for his comeback, Masvidal is currently living it up and enjoying his chilling time.
Recently, he was spotted at a basketball game in his hometown, rubbing shoulders with the Puerto Rican rap sensation Anuel AA. The two even posed for a picture, which the artist later posted on social media. Masvidal’s response to the picture demonstrates that, in advance of his return to the octagon after letting all the recent off-court drama go, he is indeed having a fantastic time and living his best life.

Jorge Masvidal lives it up with Anuel AA
Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA recently shared some star-studded pictures on social media, showcasing his attendance at the game between Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat at Miami Dade Arena. In the pictures, Anuell AA can be seen posing with undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather and UFC star Jorge Masvidal.
Masvidal was quick to comment on the post, expressing how amazing of a time he had with the artist.

Masvidal commented under the rapper’s post citing one of his popular chartbuster songs, “BRRR #legendary”.
Moreover, the Miami native fighter is currently focused on his next title run, which he believes is something even the universe desires for him.
A destined title shot for ‘Gamebred’
Masvidal is leaving no stone unturned and is putting in the hard yards and giving it his all to achieve his goal, the UFC welterweight title. In his recent interview with MMA Junkie[in Spanish], ‘Gamebred’ stated how the Gilbert Burns fight happening is nothing short of the universe encouraging him to thrive, despite the fact that he could have quit the sport at any time in the past.

Masvidal said, “I could’ve retired in many different occasions due to injuries, you know, all kinds of things that happen in this sport. So it’s like all the stars are aligning, and the universe is giving me this. It wants me to go through this. You’ll see the battle that I will give to my people.”

With his return, Jorge Masvidal is bearing a heavy burden of expectations. And given his lackluster form off-late, Gilbert Burns may present quite a challenge for him. However, ‘Gamebred’ is no stranger to challenges. A month remains for him to shake off the fatigue before making his comeback at UFC 287.
