The Entire MMA community has come to the edge of their seats as Jorge Masvidal reportedly attacked Colby Covington outside a restaurant. Masvidal is suspected to face charges for felony battery for allegedly Sucker punching Covington. The Altercation supposedly happened outside a restaurant where Covington met with the Nel Boys for a podcast shoot.

It has been hardly two weeks since the two fighters met to put an end to their bad blood at UFC 272. However, things look far from sorted between the two Welterweights. Meanwhile, a video surfaced on the internet in which Masvidal is talking about his ‘Sucker punch’ skills.

Well, it seems like Masvidal did almost exactly what he believed in. Even the Police reported that an unidentified man apparently lost his teeth in the altercation.

Masvidal boasts, “I’m usually the one to throw the first punch…  I am known like I am one of the best sucker-punches in the business you know. Hell yeah, it isn’t. In the street it is. if you’re like a real street dude you know that you don’t tell somebody hey you meet me outside. You might get shot. you might get killed you know so you learn how to hit a really good sucker punch.”

What transpired between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal?

Masvidal and Covington were once close allies and training partners at ATT. After that, a feud sprang up between them when Covington left ATT. Covington expressed his reasons for not liking Masvidal at the Gym in media. Their rivalry escalated over the internet banter and then the two welterweights finally faced each other at UFC 272.

Covington came out on top of this contest by convincingly outwrestling Masvidal. It will be quite an understatement to say ‘Chaos’ did not pay his respect to Masvidal for standing five whole rounds in the octagon. Apparently, this was Masvidal’s third consecutive loss and this one might have hurt him, considering the bad blood involved.
