Jorge Masvidal has no intention of letting Colby Covington get away with his threats to Jon Anik. Furthermore, the BMF has exposed Covington for a supposedly false claim he made during his controversial message for the UFC commentator.

Colby Covington has been under fire for his recent comments on Jon Anik. In an interview during the days that followed UFC 286, the welterweight star took an issue with Anik and went after him, no holds barred. The former interim champion’s choice of words is being harshly criticized by fight fans and pros everywhere.

Amidst this chaos, his friend-turned-foe, Jorge Masvidal, had a few messages for Covington. Unsurprisingly, they were not of a cordial nature.

Jorge Masvidal exposes Colby Covington’s claim

Under an IG post highlighting Covington’s threat to Anik, Jorge Masvidal left a now-deleted comment. In his scathing message, the 39-year-old called the bluff on one of Covington’s claims in his message to Anik.

In the video, we see Covington explode on Anik for supposedly siding with Belal Muhammad behind his back. Covington said, “Just realize you live in Boca. I live in Miami motherf*cker, you’re not too far from me, so you better shut your f***ing mouth.”

However, Miami’s own ‘Street Jesus’ begged to differ. In his deleted comment, Masvidal wrote, “U don’t live in Miami bit*hhhh whole world know that @colbycovmma”

What’s more, this is not the only message Masvidal had for Covington after his comments on Anik.

Masvidal’s warning to Anik

After Covington’s words to Anik went viral, Masvidal had another message for ‘Chaos.’ ‘Gamebred’ took to his Instagram story to assure his support for Anik. In the same statement, he issued a stern warning for Covington.

In his Instagram story, Masvidal wrote, “@jon_anik Don’t worry brother. U know I got ur back. f*ck what this clown says. he ain’t come out his till they flew him to England.”

He further added, “@colbycovmma do something b*tch. I dare you.”

There is no love lost between Masvidal and Covington. The story of their fallout and the rivalry that ensued is one of the more recent storylines in combat sports. Masvidal’s comments only highlight how heated their rivalry still is. Although Covington bested Masvidal in their UFC bout, the bad blood is still boiling hot.
