Masvidal’s social media handles contain posts about a lot of major UFC fights. Recently, Masvidal took to Facebook once more and vented out his opinion about the coveted fight between Ilia Topuria and Bryce Mitchell at UFC 282.

Jorge Masvidal was startled by Ilia Topuria’s dominance over Bryce Mitchell

Masvidal’s bewilderment at Topuria’s sheer display of domination was apparent from his post on Facebook. ‘Gamebred’ shared an article by ‘rivercitypost.com’ which reported the entire happenings of the fight.

Masvidal’s caption once again contained his favorite superlative word, “SAVAGE”. His entire caption read, “What a SAVAGE Performance!”.

Ilia Topuria was watchful during the initial moments of the fight. But he displayed brutal striking as the fight proceeded. Hence, it can be said that Masvidal’s bewilderment is quite justified in this regard.

After a watchful start, Topuria started to pull out his guns. He displayed some brutal striking including a gruesome right to the left eye area of Mitchell which had him bleeding.

Mitchell tried to maintain a distance from Topuria with his jabs and also attempted a spinning back-kick. But Topuria was quick to move out of Mitchell’s strike zone.

A few more clean strikes sent Mitchell to the canvas. It is pertinent to note that both fighters held an unblemished record of 14-0 and 8-0 prior to this fight. It was the first stain on the 14-0 clean sheet of Bryce Mitchell turning it to 14-1 and pumping Topuria’s record to 9-0.

Mitchell was reputed to be the better grappler of the two fighters. But Topuria turned everything around as he controlled Mitchell on the ground as well. A takedown from Topuria looked as if he was manhandling Mitchell. He finally caught Mitchell in a triangle choke, which proved too much for him and he decided to tap out.
