A ‘David vs. Goliath’ match is a fight between a smaller, much weaker underdog and a stronger giant. These fights take the adrenaline high, with the underdog trying hard and not giving up.

Recently, Jorge Masvidal shared a video of various ‘David vs. Goliath’ fights on his Facebook page. Surprisingly, Conor McGregor found his way into the video.
McGregor slipped into Jorge Masvidal’s Facebook video
Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal is pretty active on his Facebook. He recently posted a video captioned, “Real Life David Vs. Goliath Matches Gone Wrong!” The video featured several fights where smaller fighters were pitted against stronger and bigger opponents.
At around 1:10, Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor could be seen sparring with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. The 6ft 9in Björnsson is known for his portrayal of ‘The Mountain’ or Ser Gregor Clegane in the hit HBO TV series, Game of Thrones. Further, ‘The Mountain’ has experience as a boxer. But his strength is not to be taken lightly. He was also declared to be Iceland’s, Strongest Man. He has won several strongman championships. Westford’s Viking, Iceland’s Strongest Viking, and Highland Viking are, to name a few. Björnsson is, in fact, a very formidable opponent, even in sparring.

The featherweight fighter indeed looked way smaller when put against the giant Björnsson. In the video, Conor McGregor’s swiftness was the only thing saving him against the goliath, Björnsson. The sparring went on with McGregor putting on punches and being absolutely sneaky.
However, none of it seemed to have an effect on Björnsson. The Goliath strongman simply rammed in and took control of the fight with his grappling. The fight showed the same outcomes a couple of more times. Finally, the battle ended with ‘The Mountain’ showing off his strength to ‘The Notorious’.

The fans undoubtedly found Conor McGregor’s stand against ‘The Mountain’ very funny. “Conners was comedy”, commented a follower. Another follower commented, “Was that Corner” with a laughing emoji. Even Jorge Masvidal found the video funny and stated that the matchup was terribly wrong.
The entire fight was a sparring fight. But it still didn’t fail to hold the fans’ breath. Björnsson’s intimidating strength and McGregor’s swift techniques indeed deserve loud applause.
