Weigh-ins and media interactions can be tricky situations. When two fighters have spent so much time and energy trying to defeat each other and given so much thought to it, things getting heated up is only natural. Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones got into an ugly fight in 2014 at the presser. As both squared off, Cormier pushed his opponent back. Jones came down heavily and the MGM staff had to do some serious work to separate the two heavyweights. Daniel Cormier and ‘Bones’ got into a huge brawl. While the incident happened years ago, Jorge Masvidal has refreshed the incident in the memories of fans. After all, it remains one of the biggest rivalries the promotion has seen.

Jon Jones played the apologetic guy
Jones and Cormier shared the stage again soon after the brawl. When the host asked Jones about his thoughts on the incident from the previous day, Jones started with apologies. He apologized to the fans, who might have found the incident distasteful, and also apologized to the MGM staff.

The brawl that got the MMA world talking
While their bad blood was huge, both the fighters faced each other in the octagon twice. At UFC 182 in 2015, ‘Bones’ won against his rival through a unanimous decision. This only further ignited their hatred. Thus, they clashed once again at UFC 214 in 2017. Unfortunately, the results were overturned by the CSAC and resulted in a no-contest. As a result, there was no conclusive end to their bad blood.
