Jorge Masvidal is indeed one of the fighters who have an intimidating persona inside the Octagon. Bearer of the symbolic BMF belt, ‘Gamebred’ has never backed down from trash-talk, especially before his bouts. Recently, the former UFC welterweight champion appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and talked about his upcoming fight. Without a doubt, Masvidal believed that he would be the victor of the UFC 287 co-main event. Furthermore, he told Rogan how exactly he planned to defeat Gilbert Burns. His prediction of the fight indeed impressed Rogan. Nevertheless, Rogan believed that the matchup was, in fact, a good one.
Rogan recently shocked the world of mixed martial arts when he compared Masvidal with Georges St-Pierre. Doubtlessly, the podcaster’s words caused an uproar in the UFC world and received severe backlash from the fans. Nevertheless, Rogan is infamous for hyping up the fighters prior to their fights.

In episode #137 of JRE MMA Show, Rogan invited the ‘Gamebred Fighter’ for a chat. Although they talked about a lot of stuff, one of the topics involved the fighter’s upcoming bout in UFC 287. The famed UFC color commentator talked about Masvidal’s fight with Burns and claimed that it was a good matchup, indeed.
However, Masvidal apparently surprised the 55-year-old podcaster as he lets Rogan know the exact move he would use to defeat Burns. He told Rogan that was confident in his wrestling prowess and could negate ‘Durinho’ if they went ahead and grappled. Furthermore, he believed that his next opponent wasn’t good enough from a striking point of view, as well. Finally, Masvidal let the JRE host know that he was made for defeating Burns.

In a previous episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan made a claim that Masvidal would have dominated the Octagon had he been active during GSP’s era. He claimed that today’s fighters were better than St-Pierre. Undeniably, the comment saddened the entire world.
Moreover, the former UFC fighter, Chael Sonnen, was also upset about the comment. Sonnen said, “When we have a doper, named Joe Rogan in this case, saying that today’s fighters are better than Georges St-Pierre…”
