Adesanya’s last fight was against Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 276. Although he secured the win, some fans were not impressed by Adesanya’s performance and expected more from the fighter. Not only fans, but even popular Hollywood actor Chris Pratt wasn’t a fan of Adesanya’s skills.

In a post-show interview, Pratt said, “I’m not a fan of coming out with all that talk and then putting on a little bit of pitter-patter. I’m like, ‘Come on, man! Cash on that!’ You gotta cash that promise of being so bada**.” Pratt later apologized to Adesanya after the champion took shots at him, tweeting, “Good Morning. I’m the man. You’re just some fan.”

Neill wrote, “I am completely furious some idiot plonker faked a tweet supposedly from me involving Adesanya. I admire Israel enormously – he does us proud every time. ⁦@stylebender.” Neill, being a fan of Adesanya, is no big surprise. Being from the same country (New Zealand), the two men hashed out their differences and showed love for each other.

With this win, Adesanya secured his fifth successful title defense and now has a professional record of 23 wins and only one loss. Adesanya will now look to seek revenge on Alex Pereira, who might very well be his next opponent. This potential matchup between the two stars has already built a lot of hype and is a fan favorite.
