It has been almost two years since the former UFC lightweight champion and undefeated fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from professional fighting. However, his love for MMA has never ended and might never end.

After retiring from the sport, the UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov is training his friends and teammates for their respective MMA careers. ‘The Eagle’ also bought his own MMA venture and named it after his moniker, Eagle FC. The promotion has even had major events in the United States.
Moreover, Nurmagomedov also trains regularly with his cousins and teammates. All these things keep the former UFC champion engaged after his retirement and also keep him close to the sport.

However, ‘The Eagle’ still misses the action inside the octagon, as seen in the viral video. Recently, a clip of Nurmagomedov is making rounds on the internet. In the video, the UFC legend can be seen wearing his gloves and enjoying the moment.

Amidst that, a reporter asked him if he still misses fighting. To which Nurmagomedov responded by shutting the reporter as he wanted to enjoy the nostalgic moment. Nurmagomedov said, “I know what you wanna ask me. Just be quiet. Let me enjoy this moment.”
Henry Cejudo wanted Khabib Nurmagomedov to move up to the welterweight division
The former two-division champion of UFC Henry Cejudo recently stated that he wanted the Dagestan native to move up to welterweight as he had done enough in the lightweight division.

Ever since his debut, Nurmagomedov completely dominated the 155lbs roster. Moreover, he also defeated some of the biggest names in the promotion. Hence, many wanted the Russian fighter to move up to 170lbs for better challenges. But Nurmagomedov retired after a 29-0 record.

On a recent episode of The Triple C & Schmo Show, Cejudo compared Nurmagomedov with the recent sensation Khamzat Chimaev and explained why he wanted ‘The Eagle’ to move up.

Cejudo said, “Like Chimaev’s legacy is to be the greatest of all time… to walk out with two or three UFC belts… when he’s a wrestler and you’ve been to the school he’s been to like in Dagestan, a lot of things are possible. That’s why I would have loved to have seen Khabib go up to 170 pounds, just for that same reason, obviously.”
