The unpredictability of the sport of MMA never ceases to amaze us. Just a few months ago, Iranian fighter Muhammad Heibati’s outrageous actions, kicking a ring and attacking the commentator, resulted in a lifetime ban. Continuing the theme of the unexpected, a Romanian MMA promotion recently staged a fight that defied convention, with a heavyweight male competitor facing two female fighters.

Recently, a video shared by the MMA news outlet ‘HomeOfFight’ on Instagram sparked outrage. The clip, captioned, “Who thought this was a good idea?”, showed a male fighter dominating two female fighters in a mismatched bout. The women attempted to work together against their significantly larger opponent, but their efforts were not enough to overcome his size advantage.

In the past, people have witnessed acts like these only in WWE. However, after seeing the recent news, it’s clear that the combat world is continuously evolving. There have been many unusual affairs, such as illegal moves and dwarf boxing matches, as recent internet personality Abdu Rozik debuted in a boxing match. Additionally, a Czech fighter proposed inside the octagon.

Now, the video has reached the audience, who seemingly are split in their reactions on the whole. While some were sport and took the whole thing as a joke, others straight away condemned such unequal fights, slating that it promoted violence against women in the name of entertainment.

Fans react to unequal Romanian MMA fight

After the MMA fight concluded and the winner was announced, the male fighter approached the female fighters to show his respect. One fan, appreciating the sportsman spirit, commented, “Great sportsmanship after.” On the other hand, another fan took a jab at the promotion. Starting by objecting to the fight, but revealing satire later, stated, “You couldn’t offer me all the money in the world to fight two women in a cage… just embarrassing. However, $10,000 might change my mind.”

Meanwhile, yet another fan criticized the MMA match’s fairness, suggesting it was fixed because of the significant difference in sizes of competitors. They commented, “This is crazy, the man was too big of course he won.” There were also comments from social media users who expressed interest in being part of such a game involving their exes. One fan, inspired by this, commented, “Where do I sign up? Need both my exes in the cage with me.” This sentiment was supported by another fan, who seemed to enjoy the fight between one man and two females, stating, “What a time to be alive.”

One fan emphasized not wanting to see such inhumane incidents again in the future, commenting, “Bruh bro like wtf is this please like don’t do this again.”
