Francis Ngannou’s problems were not just monetary

Francis Ngannou had mentioned more than once that his problems with the UFC contract weren’t just related to his pay. It was the sponsorships that bothered Ngannou the most. He mentioned how the UFC gets the better out of sponsorship deals with companies and also restricts fighters to have their individual sponsorships.

Ngannou also claimed that he missed out on a deal worth more than $1 million as a result of the UFC’s sponsorship of a cryptocurrency platform. On 18 August, just before the UFC 278, Ngannou put out a barrage of tweets trying to clarify his objection regarding the sponsorship restrictions imposed on him by the UFC.
