Justin Gaethje Career Earnings: How Much Did the UFC’s Bonus King Make Against Khabib & Charles Oliveira

UFC BMF champion, Justin Gaethje will take on the former UFC featherweight champion, Max Holloway at UFC 300. The fight between Holloway and Gaethje tends to stand out even among the most stacked card till date. This is due to both guys never failing to put on absolute shows for the fans every time they enter the octagon. So much so that Gaetje is also known as the “Bonus King” by many.

Justin Gaethje has had 12 fights in the UFC and has managed to secure 12 fight bonuses. Being given the fight moniker of “The Highlight”, it won’t be surprising to see Gaethje get his 13th win bonus this weekend at UFC 300. But while on the topic of Gaethje’s fight bonuses, how much dough did he make in the UFC?

Justin Gaethje made his debut in the UFC at the TUF season finale back in 2017, against Michael Johnson. Gaethje showed the UFC fans what he was made of after putting in an absolute slugfest earning him an estimated total of $302,500 in his UFC debut win. His second and third fight in the promotion wouldn’t be as successful as he would lose to Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier. However, despite the loss he would still go on and get paid $165,000 and $163,500 respectively.

“The highlight would go on a 3 fight-winning streak after his loss to Poirier which would land him in an interim title fight. His three-fight winning streak came against James Vick. Edson Barboza, and Donald Cerrone. He earned $274,000, $294,000, and $315,000 in the three fights respectively. The 35-year-old would go on to win his interim title fight against Tony Ferguson where he would make an estimated $905,000.

He would go on and fight for the undisputed UFC lightweight against Khabib Nurmagomedov where he would earn an estimated $1,227,500 in his loss to the Russian. Justin Gaethje would get back to the win column in his fight against former Bellator Champ, Michael Chandler. He would earn $556,000 in the fight.

Gaethje would, unfortunately, lose his next fight against Charles Oliveira for the UFC lightweight title, where he was estimated to have made $652,000 in the fight. “The American is currently on a 2 fight win streak as he beat rising contender Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286 and  Dustin Poirier for the BMF title at UFC 291. In the two fights, he made an estimated $1,056,000 and $1,360,000.

 What is Justin Gaethje’s top UFC payout?

Justin Gaethje had redemption at UFC 291 against Dustin Poirier by surprising fans and winning the BMF title. But it wasn’t just the win as he would go on to KO Poirier in the 3rd round stunning the UFC crowd. The win against “The Diamond would also turn out to be the biggest paycheck in his career.

In his KO win against Dustin Poirier at UFC 291, Gaethje would be the second highest-paid fighter on the card, earning  $1,360,000. The highest-paid fighter was “The Diamond despite his loss, earning $1,470,000.
