Nate Diaz wants a fight in the UFC anytime now, and his patience is running thin, which is clearly being shown. The Stockton fighter is eager to get his hands on a fighter in the octagon, despite all the matchmaking friction in his case.

Nate Diaz is keeping his eyes on the lightweight division and welterweight as well, but his comments lean towards the lightweight division. This time around, it’s Diaz versus lightweight title contender Justin Gaethje going back and forth on social media.

The Diaz brother is keen on eyeing the lightweight division for his next fight, and his comments against the current lightweight contender are proof of it. Justin Gaethje spoke out in an interview stating, “[Charles Oliveira] is gonna have to walk through hell like Khabib did. … He better be praying every day that he gets me to the ground.” Diaz, in reply, reposted this on his story and wrote over it, stating, “Bruh he got triangle choked from the mount, what he talkin bout

Gaethje took offense to this and replied to Nate Diaz in the next slide stating, “I ain’t your bruh you jealous b**** @NateDiaz209” With all due respect, Gaethje might be placing his skill in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a lot higher than he actually should. Most fans think that the Justin Gaethje fight was the easiest fight in all of Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s title defenses. The triangle choke that Nurmagomedov landed on Gaethje was practically almost handed to the Dagestani by the American striker.

Is Nate Diaz eyeing the lightweight division or the welterweight division next?

Nate Diaz never shies away from a fight. He’s ready to take on any fighter that he comes across, and his antics in the UFC are proof of that. The Stockton fighter is growing impatient with the UFC. This is since a fight has not been in the works after his decision loss against Leon Edwards in a welterweight bout.

Things are looking up, though, for Diaz, as his back and forth with Dustin Poirier hints at a fight long due for them. Moreover, Diaz’s greatest rival, Conor McGregor, is also set to return to the UFC this year. The Irishman has been stating many big things, such as wanting to challenge Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title on his return, but we don’t know how plausible that is.

The fan-favorite matchup and one that makes perfect sense given the current competence of both fighters is the trilogy fight between Diaz and McGregor. But both fighters do not seem to be in a state of mind to capitalize on that fight yet.
