Justin Gaethje is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC today. He has a fan-friendly fighting style, incredible power, and an iron chin. Gaethje’s rise in the UFC has been nothing short of impressive, as he has quickly become one of the top lightweights in the world.
Unfortunately, Gaethje suffered a setback in his last fight against Charles Oliveria at UFC 274. Oliveria was able to submit the American with a rear-naked choke in the second round, ending Gaethje’s quest for the lightweight title. Nevertheless, it was a disappointing result for the former interim Lightweight champion, who had looked great in his previous fight against Michael Chandler.
In a recent interview, Gaethje opened up about how his teammate Rose Namajunas’ fight affected him ahead of his title fight against Oliveria.
