The right advice can take a person very far in life and MMA, especially when that advice comes from someone who has been at the top. In MMA, when one thinks of top fighters, it is hard to not mention Khabib Nurmagomedov. He went 29-0 in his career before walking away at UFC 254.

The undefeated fighter was recently seen giving advice to former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo and current UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. In the video, the trio of Nurmagomedov, Usman, and Cejudo can be seen in the Eagle FC cage.

‘The Eagle’, in the clip, said, “You don’t need distance. You Olympic champion. How many Olympic champion freestyle wrestling you see in your life?” 

He further added, “If you use your hips, takedown, after you use your hips and make him lift yourself, okay, he is gonna tired…grip him with your legs and like horse, you know how to ride horse? Like with legs and your arm, punch.”

The former champion also spoke about how his protégé, Islam Makhachev, would use that very technique in a potential battle against Charles Oliveira.

“This is what Islam gonna do with Charles Oliveira. He gonna ride him. You understand what I mean, right? Like how you ride your horse.”

While ‘The Eagle’ gives fighting advice, Nurmagomedov has been busy with different ventures since his retirement. One of his main ventures has been promoting fights.

After defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, Nurmagomedov has been quite the busy man. ‘The Eagle’ is now experiencing the promotional side of MMA with his promotion. In 2020, Nurmagomedov purchased an MMA promotion named Gorilla Fighting Championship and rebranded it as Eagle FC.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been instrumental in the growth of the UFC in the Russian region. In a similar way, he will look to expand Eagle FC in Russia and globally.
