When they last fought at UFC 245, Kamaru won by a technical knockout in what was an incredibly close and competitive battle. It was undoubtedly one of Usman’s most difficult.
The duo will square once again off at the upcoming UFC 268 for the UFC welterweight championship. The UFC’s official YouTube channel recently posted a countdown video for the upcoming UFC event at Madison Square Garden. In the video, champion Kamaru Usman asserted his confidence in his forthcoming rematch with Covington.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ said, “I expect the rematch to be whatever I make it. If feel like I wanna be systematic and dissect him and get him out of there early, I will do that. But if I feel like getting to the scrap, I might do that as well.”
Hence, the champion is confident that he will be the one in charge of the fight at UFC 268.
Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington 2: Prediction
The last time Colby Covington faced off against Kamaru Usman was about two years ago at UFC 245. In December 2019, ‘Chaos’ accused the referee of an early stoppage as he was still able to fight.
Although the first was pretty even the last time around, Usman still had the upper hand between the two and was the favorite for the decision.

Ever since their fight at UFC 245, Usman has defended his title three times, whereas Colby has fought only once.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ seemed very sharp in his title defenses and beat the likes of top contenders- Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns. Owing to his current form and Colby’s inactivity, Usman has a slight advantage in the upcoming fight.
