UFC 278 witnessed Kamaru Usman getting knocked out. It was shocking for UFC fans, as the fighter has been so dominant in his previous fights. Usman’s rival, Conor McGregor, took to Twitter to post a series of tweets about the fight.

Mike Bohn, a reporter, wrote about how he witnessed the sad sight of Usman’s daughter bawling her eyes out as she was carried out of the arena after the vicious knockout. McGregor, who also has three children, had something to say about it.

He wrote, “I feel this deep. I do not suggest bringing family whatsoever. Especially the children. This is different fighting. I’ve done both sides of this and feel going to the mission solo is best. You can see family again post battle. Will definitely be continuing this way going forward.”

Usman’s 8-year-old daughter, Samirah, who was in the front row, had to be consoled and was immediately taken away from the venue.

Thus, while Usman and ‘The Notorious‘ had been feuding, the latter seems to resonate with the aftermath of the fight. After all, McGregor has been the former UFC double champ but has also experienced devastating losses. His UFC 264 loss against Dustin Poirier and the leg injury was a huge one wherein he had to undergo surgery and the subsequent rest.

Kamaru Usman on his devastating loss

Usman’s only loss was through a submission during his early MMA career in 2013. Post that, he managed to stay undefeated. He had also defeated Leon Edwards in 2015. However, their UFC 278 fight didn’t go in his favor.

He isn’t shaken by the loss though. Instead, he intends to return with vengeance. Thus, it would be interesting to see a third fight between Usman and Edwards. Both the fighters have won one fight each and a third one could decide the better fighter.

It would also be interesting to watch if ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ (20-2), will successfully be able to get back the title. What do you think?
