Stop taking yourself so damn serious, you know? I mean I have a philosophy – if you’re debating with somebody, try to prove them right before you prove them wrong. I love being wrong because every time I’m wrong, I learn something… right? So… just… keep the ego out of things. That’ll help you a lot,” remarked Michael Jai White, answering the interviewer’s question about what keeps a relationship healthy.

The interviewer then turned to his wife, Gillian White, who was standing right by him, and asked her the same question, to which she replied, “You gotta be honest. You gotta be… like a lot of people put on facades… try to act like something they’re not, but you can’t,… you can’t go into a relationship being that way. You gotta show your true self, you gotta be honest and like let that person accept you for who you are – love you for who you are, you know.“.

The bond that the Whites share is a pure one; one that is born out of mutual respect and admiration. It doesn’t take much to figure out that the two have been ‘implementing’ everything that they spoke about and living a healthy and happy married life.

Hi, I am Arghyadeep, a UFC Writer at EssentiallySports. Being brought up alongside two brothers who were avid WWE fans, I had no option but to watch alongside them and sometimes even partake in their ‘re-enactments’. However, I found myself gravitating towards combat sports soon after. Whilst WWE (then known as WWF) was my introduction to combat sports, I stumbled upon something that interested me even more back in 2011, when I witnessed my favorite UFC fighter Jon Jones battle it out with Rampage Jackson. Besides being a UFC fan, I am also a professional singer. I go on tours and I perform all across the country as well. Music and UFC go hand-in-hand for me and I hope that someday, I can attend a UFC event somewhere and cover that event live. If you want to say hello…
