Tensions between Israel Adesanya, Francis Ngannou, and Jon Jones seem to grow. While Adesanya successfully defended his title at UFC 276, people also criticized him for a lackluster performance in the Octagon and the press conference.

The event also witnessed a fight between Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira, who previously knocked out Adesanya at ‘Glory Kick Boxing’. Thus, Adesanya had been calling Pereira ‘Elsa’, Disney’s ‘Frozen’ character.

Thus, Jones kept taking digs at Adesanya. As a result, Francis Ngannou came forward to support his fellow African, Jones took a quick dig at him too.

He wrote another tweet and took a dig at both Ngannou and Adesanya. He wrote, “I’m really not impressed with you or your boy, I’ve seen you quit multiple times. And your boy almost got flat lined the last time he faced Alex. Both of you guys win your next fights, then I’ll be impressed. Until then, keep the name out of your mouth, there’s levels.”

Bones, who gave up the light heavyweight title to move to heavyweight, has been eyeing Ngannou since he aims to become the champion of the division.

Further, he and ‘The Last Stylebender do not get along. Because both have been so dominant in their division, many fans would want to see them face each other. But owing to the difference in their weight classes, it might be a difficult bout to make.

What’s next for Jon Jones?

As reported by MMA Fighting, Jon Jones hopes to return this year. However, there isn’t a date or an opponent yet. The original target of UFC 276 was pushed back as Stipe Miocic wanted to focus on recovery and training.

Similarly, the heavyweight champion recently underwent knee surgery. Hence, as revealed by UFC President Dana White, Miocic or Ngannou would be next for Jones, depending on how long the champ’s recovery takes.
