Ketlen Vieira Destroys Miesha Tate in a Five Round Domination at UFC Fight Night 198

Former women’s bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate took on Ketlen Vieira in the main event of UFC Fight Night 198. The Brazilian fighter looked comfortable against the former champion and got the win.

This win for Vieira will give her push for a title shot a boost. She was coming of a loss in her previous fight and a win over a veteran like Tate will only boost her stock.

The main event had people excited

People were excited about the fight between Miesha Tate and Ketlen Vieira and took to Twitter to express that.

Renee Paquette, who is the co-host of Tate in a podcast, was rooting for her. She tweeted saying, Let’s goooooooo @MieshaTate.”

Former UFC fighter Josh Thomson was team Miesha Tate.

Combat sports reporter Marc Raimondi didn’t think it would be a far-fetched idea for Tate to get a title shot if she won. He said, Miesha Tate vs. Ketlen Vieira is up next. #UFCVegas43 main event. This is a big one in the women’s bantamweight division. It wouldn’t be crazy to see Tate getting a title shot with a win here, given her popularity.”

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad also chipped in with his thoughts.

Nick Baldwin didn’t understand the criticism of Vieira and called out Daniel Cormier and Din Thomas.

There was respect between the two warriors, and it showed when they embraced each other after the fight.

Former WWE superstar Hurricane Helms, said, “If Vieira had more of an aggressive style, she’d be lethal I think. She was backing up 90% of the fight and still did a lot of damage.”

Tate was the fan-favorite coming into the fight. However, a performance like that has surely won Vieira a lot of new fans.
