The incident, which occurred on Monday night, resulted in a heart-wrenching loss of at least 50 lives, including three children, and left dozens injured. The catastrophe began with a fire erupting at an auto repair shop located in the Dagestani capital, Makhachkala. This initial blaze rapidly escalated, leading to subsequent explosions that engulfed a nearby petrol station. Amidst the devastation, Ali Abdelaziz, Nurmagomedov’s manager, took to Twitter to express his grief and call for prayers for the stricken region. In a heartfelt tweet, Abdelaziz wrote, “Guys pray for Dagestan. There was a huge explosion today and more than 50 people died”.

A large number of dead and injured as a result of the explosion in Makhachkala,” he wrote on his Instagram story.
