Khabib Nurmagomedov has built his own business empire since retiring from active fighting. The fighter has started several businesses and is also working on his own fighting promotion, Eagle FC.

‘The Eagle’ has now become an MMA promoter, and his first-ever Eagle FC event in the United States took place in January. Eagle FC 44was his first event in the United States, and later he also hosted Eagle FC 46, in Miami, FL.

In a recent interview, Khabib Nurmagomedov praised UFC president Dana White, naming him the best promoter of all time. The Russian also stated that he has much to learn from the UFC boss, despite recent rumors of being ‘ghosted’ by him.

Khabib said to the Eagle FC interviewer, “Dana White is the best of all time promoter, in my opinion. No one is even close. And I try to just learn from him. Because I’m just beginning. I think I can learn from him a lot of things. Even next ten years, twenty years, he can teach me, I think.”

The interviewer then asked Khabib if White is trying to teach him a lesson by ghosting him. To that Khabib responded, “No, I think he play game…Even on this situation, I have to learn from him…. Yes, I have to. Because he told me like, the last time when we talking about like promoting, he says like, ‘Now you’re gonna understanding myself more.” And I say okay, we will see.”

Nurmagomedov was trying to book Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title shot and was apparently being ghosted by Dana White. However, White and Nurmagomedov are seemingly on good terms now, and the Russian also received a pricey gift from the UFC boss.

Khabib Nurmagomedov on his end goal for Eagle FC

In the interview he had with the Eagle FC reporter, Nurmagomedov revealed what he thinks will be the end goal for his MMA promotion. According to the UFC Hall of Famer, his promotion will take about five to seven years to build itself into the top MMA promotion, which is his end goal for Eagle FC.

He said,” for this business, you have to create content. To create content you need years and years, you know… We’re just beginning, we need, I think at least like five-seven years to become like, on top.”
