Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to become the best MMA promoter. Thus, he wants to overtake Dana White. After retirement, the former UFC lightweight champion has started a new adventure as a promoter, with his own promotion, Eagle Fighting Championship.

‘The Eagle’ spoke to Sky Sports and revealed his goals as a promoter.

He said, “I just want to become the best, I’m not here to become number three or number two. I’m here to become the best promoter in the world. And we have developed a new system. We’re going to change a couple of things, not a lot, and after a couple of years, I think people are going to understand who is who.”

During his stay in the UFC, many considered him the best fighter. Thus, he wants to replicate the same success and become the best in promoting fights. ‘The Eagle’ has the champion’s mindset and will seek to thrive in his new role.

When Nurmagomedov retired at UFC 254, White pushed for him to continue fighting; The UFC head could not accept his retirement right away. However, when Nurmagomedov declined all the lucrative offers, White knew he was not coming back.
