Almost every MMA fan is eagerly waiting to see the main event clash between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. People are very excited about this fight and have been constantly sharing their views on the same and now even Khabib Nurmagomedov has shared his views of the fight.
During a recent interview, ‘The Eagle’ was asked to share his prediction of the fight. Nurmagomedov reiterated his earlier comments about the fight and believes that ‘Notorious’ can win the fight only on one condition. He said, “Once again the same thing here, the first round is for Conor. He can take it. If he doesn’t, then Dustin wins.”

Nurmagomedov’s prediction seems pretty accurate as the first time ‘Notorious’ and Poirier fought, McGregor won the fight via a first-round TKO. However, when their second fight at UFC 257 went past the first round, McGregor lost the fight via a second-round TKO.
This clearly shows that McGregor is at his best in the first round and that will be the best opportunity for him to win.
The much anticipated UFC 264 event is all set to happen on July 10, 2021. The event boasts of a plethora of great fights and promises to be a grand event. However, the fight between McGregor and Poirier is the central attraction of the night.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was the undisputed champion of the UFC lightweight division for almost 2 years. During that time, the fighter had faced almost every top rated UFC lightweight fighter, including Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.

Nurmagomedov faced McGregor at the UFC 229 event and won the fight via a 4th round submission. While in his next fight Nurmagomedov defeated ‘The Diamond’ via a 3rd round submission. As Nurmagomedov has faced and defeated both McGregor and Poirier, the fighter knows their fighting style well. Hence, he has made the prediction based on the same knowledge.
