Former UFC lightweight kingpin, Khabib Nurmagomedov recently appeared at the press conference of the Eagle FC 37 event. ‘The Eagle’ is doing everything in his power to promote his organization. His recent appearance was also in a bid to take the promotion to greater levels.

Nurmagomedov revealed to the media that he feels uncomfortable sometimes watching his old press conferences. Maturity has brought a lot of change in him. And it’s sometimes hard for him to watch his younger self during the press conference. The Dagestani believes that some things he has said previously may not make sense to him at this present stage in his life.

“Well, not exactly uncomfortable, but when you are 32 and when you are 27, those are completely different versions of yourself. For example, you make a statement, then in a couple of years you look back and think to yourself, it was just pointless or wrong. That’s what I meant there,” he said.

Nurmagomedov has been part of some of the biggest press conferences in UFC history, along with the biggest names in the sport. And as an influential person, his words carry a lot of value for his followers across the world.

He also picked the London press conference ahead of UFC 242 as his favorite one. He believes the energy of that event was something exceptional and hasn’t been replicated ever.

Nurmagomedov has taken on all comers throughout the course of his UFC career. His undefeated record inside the Octagon will be hard for any fighter to match in the near future. Also, the caliber of opponents he has beaten over the years is enough to make his case for being the greatest UFC lightweight of all time.

In the fans’ minds, he remains the greatest fighter to ever do it in the UFC’s lightweight division. If anybody can match his immense achievements in the near future, remains to be seen. But the chances of that happening are slim to none.
