UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov took to social media and shared a positive message to fans about the importance of road safety. ‘The Eagle’ is arguably one of the biggest stars across sports in general, and he certainly uses his large platform to benefit society. Nurmagomedov has the entire country of Russia behind him, and his popularity has swept across America and the Middle East.
The 29-0 fighter let it be known that Dagestan has faced several road accidents as of late. Moreover, his short message on road safety while driving was very well received by fans and other personalities in the MMA sphere. Khabib reminded everyone that they have loved ones waiting at home and stressed the importance of being safe.

The recently retired star has kept the connection between himself and his fans from the early days of his professional career. However, there’s no denying that he’s had more time to connect with his fans ever since he left his gloves in the cage.
Khabib Nurmagomedov: An overview
‘The Eagle’ last fought back at UFC 254 on October 24, 2020, against the interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje. Khabib put forth one of his most dominant performances against someone who fans thought would present him his toughest test. Nurmagomedov choked out Gaethje via Triangle choke early into the second round.

Not to mention, the stoppage win made him the first champion to secure three consecutive submission defenses. Additionally, this feat is further blown up when considering the level of competition he’s faced. The last three names on his resume are all champions, namely Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje.

Khabib decided that his time in the sport was at an end following the aforementioned win over Gaethje. He emotionally laid down his gloves; however, like most MMA retirements, Nurmagomedov may be back in action. The Dagestani fighter’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, took to Twitter, and all but confirmed Khabib’s return.

Fans expect that Khabib Nurmagomedov will look to reach the coveted 30-0 against consensus GOAT Georges St-Pierre. The fight would be one of the biggest spectacles in MMA, considering the legacy-defining nature of the bout.
