Khabib’s heartfelt post in support of his religion is a clear testament towards the priority he gives to his platform.

The 29-0 undefeated phenom has always been a champion inside and outside the cage. Not to mention, he’s never one to shy away from addressing topics of concern, no matter how sensitive they might be.

Khabib Nurmagomedov: A champion through and through

Khabib has had all available eyeballs on him as of late following his retirement from MMA. The undisputed champion defeated yet another game challenger in Justin Gaethje to make his way towards a perfect 29-0. Nurmagomedov choked out the former interim champion via Triangle choke in the second round of their contest.

Chiefly, the fight wasn’t very competitive as Gaethje was far too concerned about being taken down. This in turn led Khabib to display his striking and he jabbed ‘The Highlight’ senselessly at a revolving range. Not to mention, he became the first champion to defend his belt with three consecutive submissions. This feat is amplified when looking at the quality of opponents he’s faced.

Khabib Nurmagomedov elected to retire following UFC 254 and will probably be seen cornering the talented stable of Dagestani fighters. Fans of the Russian mauler will be hoping to see his return someday and possibly push towards an unprecedented 30-0. A showdown against Georges St-Pierre had long been discussed, and there’s no doubt that it is the fight to make.
