Drake may be a huge icon in the USA, but Khabib Nurmagomedov was oblivious to this fact. Back at UFC 229, the musician was present during Conor McGregor’s weigh-in. He was also present at McGregor’s corner while the exciting fight took place.

However, ‘The Eagle’ had no idea who Drake was. According to him, people around him told him the ‘guy’ was famous.
In a new episode of the ‘Full Send Podcast’, Khabib spoke about his rivalry with McGregor, his relationship with UFC President Dana White, and much more. At a point in the conversation, the Dagestani was asked what kind of music he listened to; whether he listened to Drake.
Khabib said, “Honestly, I swear I don’t even like, before like when he was on corner… like people say this guy very famous. I swear I didn’t know this.”
“I don’t know this guy. … Maybe I hear his music somewhere like in street or something, but I didn’t know this guy,” he added.
While one might think that Khabib does not follow rap music, that is not the case. In the podcast, he was seen naming some great rappers like Eminem, Tupac, and 50 Cent. Could his interest in American music be because of meeting Drake?

Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Conor McGregor was one of the biggest fights in UFC history. Having someone like Drake at the event would have only further exploded the viewers’ interest.
UFC 229 had the utmost drama. The perfect enmity, a good fight, and even a brawl after everything seemed to end. When Khabib submitted McGregor, he jumped out of the octagon to attack Dillon Danis.
While the brawl created a lot of headlines, Drake’s reaction to the incident was epic. The rapper looked stunned. Plus, several superbly timed pictures added to his hilarious reaction.
