Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Next Move After Retirement Revealed

Khabib Nurmagomedov has won it all in the MMA world. The former UFC lightweight champion has been a fighter, champion, coach, and even an MMA promotion owner. Moreover, there are not many goals left for ‘The Eagle’ to achieve in the sport. Being the family man that he is as revealed by his coach Javier Mendez, Nurmagomedov would be looking forward to spending some more time with his family. However, a close source of the Dagestani has revealed some avenues that Nurmagomedov might explore post-retirement. And it is one of the activities that he loves the most.

Khabib Nurmagomedov plans to have his future in the soccer business

There were rumors surrounding that ‘The Eagle’ may join politics since his retirement from all forms of MMA. However, a close source of Nurmagomedov has confirmed as reported by Tass.ru that the former lightweight would not pursue a career in politics. “Khabib does not plan to pursue a political career.”

Moreover, the source also added what other avenues Nurmagomedov might pursue in the near future. The source said, “It is likely that he can pay more attention to his football-related business.”

 

Nurmagomedov’s love for soccer is well known to the public. It seems that the former lightweight champion is seeking business opportunities in the world of soccer. The UFC legend already has a plethora of business in his portfolio.

 

His investments include a sports management agency, a fast-food chain, an MMA gym, and the famous MMA promotion, Eagle FC. Nurmagomedov is looking to add soccer to his wide portfolio of investments.

Khabib Nurmagomedov had earlier denied any interest in politics

In a 2019 interview with Match TV, the Eagle FC owner said, “We’ll see. At the moment I have no such plans. Now I can benefit without politics. I want to stay free. When you are in politics, you have to devote yourself completely to this.”

Moreover, in his charming way, Nurmagomedov added, “You know, the eagle must fly. He can’t sit somewhere. Sit in the same room. It will not be enough. At 8 in the morning he came, at 5 in the evening he left. This is a little boring for me.”
