Jorge Masvidal’s sucker-punch on Colby Covington outside the Papi Steak restaurant in Miami has raised frictions in the MMA world. Masvidal reportedly assaulted Covington as payback for ‘Chaos’ taking shots at his family.

Ever since the incident, various fighters have also shared their views on the incident. UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov supported Masvidal while surprisingly his long-term mate Henry Cejudo sided with Covington.

In the Schmozone Podcast, Henry Cejudo said, “I think if I was in Colby’s situation – it’s hard for me to not say, especially if you sucker-punch and not press charges. Because if somebody sucker-punched me, I’m pressing charges, dude. You know what I’m saying? Like, I’m really pressing charges. I don’t care who you are. Because that’s just not cool. But the plan B, like, for me for Colby would be – fight him again. Fight him again and get pay-per-view points this time. Get your money back in that way.”

UFC  272 witnessed Covington’s victory over Masvidal via unanimous decision. ‘Triple C’, however, proposes a rematch between Masvidal and Covington, for which ‘Chaos’ can drop the accusation on Masvidal.

Following that, UFC could offer Covington pay-per-view points of the rematch. Pressing more on the heated situation, he added, including the ‘King of Miami’ belt and ‘Gamebred’s’ BMF belt, would add more credits to the re-match.

‘The Eagles’ tweet to put Colby Covington on Blacklist for verbally attacking his opponent Masvidal’s family embarked an opposing response from Conor McGregor.

McGregor, prone to his trash talks followed by his loss to ‘The Eagle’ on UFC 229, doesn’t intend to lose any potential opportunity against Nurmagomedov.

‘The Notorious’ said, “He’d just go up to middleweight cos he’s not a fat f****.” His response was to point out Nurmagomedov’s refusal to move up in weight division during his career.

Rising UFC prospect Sean O’Malley also shared his opinions on the same and stated, “Habib [Khabib Nurmagomedov] said that he can’t believe Jorge is pressing charges… If someone comes up and cold clocks me, I’m pressing charges just cos, f**k you!

Will Khabib Nurmagomedov respond to these statements? Could’ The Eagle’ receive more hate comments for his stand on Masvidal?
